Compiled from Dr. Wiersbe's best-selling"BE" series with over 3 million copies in print! Here at last is the exciting truth of the Old Testament Scriptures wrapped in the warm, personal style of one of America's best-loved Bible teachers, Warren Wiersbe. Dr. Wiersbe brings the people, places, history, and teachings of the Pentateuch to life in the pages of
The Bible Exposition Commentary. This volume is compiled from the following"BE" series books:
Be Basic Genesis 111
Be Obedient Genesis 1225
Be Authentic Genesis 2550
Be Delivered Exodus
Be Holy Leviticus
Be Counted Numbers
Be Equipped Deuteronomy There will be three subsequent volumes covering the Major and Minor Prophets, the Historical Books, and
the Wisdom Books and Poetry. Study the Pentateuch in digestible sections that emphasize personal application as well as biblical content. It's the commentary that doesn't read like a commentary but like letters from a good friend.
Reader ReviewsWarren Wiersbe put out 42 paperback books expounding the Bible. The Bible Exposition Commentary series collects all the books in six handsome maroon volumes. This is one of the best one man homiletical expositions of the Bible that money can buy. Wiersbe explains and applies the text in an easy to understand way. He does a good job of explaining Genesis three, showing how Eve had fallen from God in her mind even before she sampled the forbidden fruit. Wiersbe also shows how the summaries in Genesis (2:4, 6:9, 10:1, etc) neatly separate the book into sections. He also notes that Genesis 1-11 deals with the world while Genesis 12-50 deals primarily with the nation of Israel. Wiersbe also explains the Levitical sacrificial system and how it relates to our Christian experience today. This is a great series to read along with as you have your quiet time with God. It is also helpful for preachers who are looking for something helpful to share from the pulpit. This is the first of six great volumes, and all of them are worth buying. Rev. Marc Axelrod
