Review
When Lissan sees her parents disappear into the fairy ring for which she was named, her curiosity gets the better of her and she follows them only to be transported from the year 1900 to the year 1115! She finds herself in a brutal battle and is rescued by Rory O'Connor of Connaught. Lissan can't explain her appearance in his time, or how she avoided injury when struck with a broadsword. What Lissan doesn't know is that she is half-fairy. Her father, Lord Comlan, is King of the Tuatha de Danann and married her mortal mother. Now Lissan is trapped in another time and must find a way to return home. Convinced that the beauty who appears from nowhere is a spy for King Henry, Rory tries to avoid her charms. But while he believes she is a spy, others think she is the legendary White Witch. Rory is only concerned with protecting Connaught from the marauding troops of Munster. It was predicted by a great seeress that the White Witch would point the way for Connaught-- either to
Slavery or safety through victory. Rory doesn't believe the legend but can't explain Lissan's appearance. Discovering she is half-fairy gives Lissan the answers to her arrival in 1115 but doesn't answer her question of whether she is indeed the White Witch. She can't leave Connaught until she knows if she is supposed to play a part in their history. But the longer she stays in the past the closer she gets to the people who have become part of her new life-- especially Rory. Marylyle Rogers has created a wonderful book that is part historical, part fantasy, part time travel and completely enthralling! The story picks up where her previous novel Once Upon A Time ended, with Lissan watching her parents, Lord Comlan and lady Amethyst, disappearing into the fairy ring. From there, Lissan's adventure in 1115 begins! Happily Ever After is a wonderful sequel to the terrific Once Upon A Time, but it stands alone and should not be missed!A magical tale told by a marvelous author! If you enjoyed Once Upon A Time, you will love Happily Ever After! Marylyle Rogers has the rare talent of being able to transport her readers to another time and another place that is enchanting and romantic! Her characters leap from the page straight into you heart where they will linger Happily Ever After! Fans of Marylyle Rogers will be thrilled with her latest book! She writes with imagination and passion-- a wonderful combination!Kristina Wright --

Reader Reviews
Another reviewer has pretty much covered the storyline in this book so I don't feel that I need to add anything in that respect. I like books about time travel and as much as I enjoyed the story, for some reason I found this book VERY difficult to read. Ms. Rogers does not use ten dollar words but her sentence structure seems extremely convoluted. Dozens of times while I read this book I would read for a while and then I would stop because I had absolutely no idea what I had just read. I found myself going back to read the same paragraph or series of paragraphs two or more times because I did not understand what she had written. I probably won't get any more of her books simply because they are so difficult to read. Perhaps she needs to get a new editor...
