Alas, such a book shouldn't really be judged on things such as grammar and syntax. It should however be judged on how insightful it is, the author's understanding of basic principles, and fair coverage of both sides of each debate. This book FAILS in all those regards. I must admit it is quite humorous to read Leslie state the obvious and act like he's just discovered a remarkable fact and is enlightening the world.
