Product Description
The second edition of this volume reflects the recent advances in the FCM analysis of hematopoietic disorders. The chapters have been revised to incorporate new text and figures. A companion CD containing case studies is also included.
Reader ReviewsThis book has well-organized contents and index. The book covers flow cytometric phenotypes in hematologic malignancies, both leukemias and lymphomas equally. That means there are relatively more information on lymphomas and chronic lymphoproliferative disorders than usual textbooks, which tend to focus more on leukemias. Authors pay attention on flow data analysis than laboratory methods and technical details;therefore, there are several beautiful flow cytometric dot plots and histograms through out the books, including over eighty clinical case studies in the companion CD-ROM. The chapters are not arranged by specific diagnosis, which is the end point of a diagnostic workup but by how the data presents at the the time of the diagnostic consultation. This organization helps the readers to learn the real-life problem-solving method. Moreover, informations of DNA cell cycle analysis, DNA dye DRAQ5, and T-cell receptor (TCR)-Vbeta eight-tube kit are also included. In my opinion, this book is an ideal and practical source for everybody, who involves in flow data interpretation of hematologic malignancy.
