Product Review
"The strength is that it addresses a very specific learning tool that is very critical in helping a student process from a student to a professional. It helps a professional human being to re-examine their learning experiences and place their learning into a marketable (as well as reflective) tool."
"I would describe it as a manual for portfolio based education and assessment with some very useful tools for students."
Product Description
In THE SOCIAL WORK PORTFOLIO, the authors emphasize that learning how to learn and continuing to learn are fundamental processes for professional social workers in the twenty-first century. The book provides readers with a tool to plan, assess, and document the nature, scope, and quality of learning during--and following--formal university study. The book is intended to help readers to develop their own social work portfolio.
Reader ReviewsI had to buy this book for a senior social welfare class and so far I am unimpressed with this book. If you are looking for a review of material this is the right book for you. However if you are interested in teaching older students than I would keep looking at other texts. I have had another text book from the same author and I was displeased with the last text as well. I would not recommend this test nor the other.
