Reader ReviewsThis book covers the tpes of plants that can be found in forest and is organized in a logical manner. The entire forest as an ecosystem is presented so that the information is not abstracted and presented as a list but is instead shown in relation to its niche. The first part of the book covers the concept of a forest as an ecosystem. Following this is a large list of the more common plants that can be found in the forest. Then there is a section on collecting plants that is very well written. The last section is a number of exercises that could be used in a classroom fieldtrip or by anyone interested in nature. Overall the book is easy to read and very helpful. I have all three of this authors books and they are all great additions to my library. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in learning more about the world around them. It would be of special interest to anyone who is interested in becoming a naturalist as a hobby or anyone who has a child that they would like introduced to the world outside.
