It provides the information necessary to understand, analyze, and apply the various techniques available for growing stands under any circumstances. It emphasizes the development of techniques so professionals are able to invent silvicultural solutions to problems.
Publisher Description
The ninth edition of this classic text has been completely revised and updated for the nineties. It has educated generations of students and professionals to understand, analyze, and apply the details of silviculture. Complex ideas are presented in simple, easy-to-understand language. Plantation silviculture as well as broader forestry theories are covered.
Reader ReviewsIt is a very complete book with good explanations. However, it is written with very specialised vocabulary and looks like it has been written for university students. I would not recommend it as your first book on silviculture.
