Product Description
This value-priced, abbreviated edition of Keller and Warrack's "Statistics for Management and Economics" offers students all the features that have made the original book a best-seller. The authors systematically teach students what statisticians do--solve problems--focusing on the relationship between the type of problem, the type of data involved, and the appropriate technique. The book includes Data Analysis Plus statistical add-ins for Excel, and shows students how to select among dozens of available statistical methods to find the most appropriate one for analyzing a given set of data. Realistic applications and the use of statistical
software and spreadsheets motivate and show them how statistics is relevant to their future careers. Each in-text example utilizes the authors' effective problem-solving approach: 1) identify the appropriate techniques; 2) solve the problem (by hand, with Minitab, with Excel); and 3) interpret results (What does the solution mean in the context of the problem?).

Reader Reviews
This review is from: Statistics for Management and Economics (Paperback)
I found the book remarkably clear and instructive. It was the textbook for an MBA statistics course. Fortunately the book was much better than the teacher, so that by primarily ignoring the confused musings of the professor, and reading and working the exercises in the book, I was able to get an A in the class, and, more importantly, understand statistical principles and applications. I worked with the 6th edition. I now use the book as a reference for my work activities as well.
