Reader Reviews
This review is from: Women's Health: Readings on Social, Economic and Political Issues (Paperback)
This text, written for a women's health course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is a synopsis of topics related to women and health in the 90's. The authors take a cross-cultural perspective on topics and connect the social, economic, scientific, and political issues of womens' health issues such as poverty ageism, fatphobia, disability. There are worksheets included after some chapters to stimulate thoughts and prepare for discussion if used in a group or class setting. I found it stimulating and a good resource for my women's health course.
