Product Description
Shows consumers what ESCOs, energy/engineering service companies, are, how they work, and their benefits for electricity and natural gas users. Designed to help readers increase their odds of success in dealing with, and contracting with ESCOs. Discusses how to select and quantify the intended results of these contracts, even for specific sets of arrangements.
Reader ReviewsThis is a very fact-packed and timely book. It begins with a look at the history of ESCOs, and a look at their present and expected future. Eleven chapters focus on "the customer/ESCO relationship process" - covering topics such as the RFP development process, formulation of written documents, and ongoing measurement and verification processes. There are numerous figures and tables. The appendix includes a listing of for-profit utility regulatory agencies, a glossary of terms, miscellaneous conversion factors, and related information. No matter what your present level of knowledge on this topic is, you'll learn something from this book. Plus, the author is very credible. He's not only a PhD, but also a Certified Plant Engineer!
