From School Library Journal
Grade 3-6-- An great first chapter outlines the scientific process and how to select and carry out an experiment and gives tips for presenting the finished product. However, the projects are not particularly exciting or interesting, and the overall package resembles a textbook. The black-and-white line drawings are not particularly appealing. Also, while the authors quote from 50 Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth (Ulysses Press, 1990), several of the activities involve wasting food, such as taking fresh
meats to a science fair and having visitors guess the amount of fat in them. Most of the activities are simple, none demand complicated or unusual materials, and no unsafe procedures are used. An additional title.
