I've just picked this series up again after having read it about 15 years ago. I do have to admit that it was more enjoyable when I was in high school, and being as that I can recommend it more to teens than to more sophisticated readers. This second collection of two Myth books is a decent enough follow up to the first installment and continues the dimension hopping antics of Skeeve and Aahz. The supposedly zany adventures aren't quite madcap enough, though and all in all they actually seem rather tame by modern fantasy standards. The oddball group of characters is interesting enough, although by these books it seems as if everyone seems to already know one another from somewhere else (pretty small multiple dimension, huh?). Asprin still over explains character motivation and wraps up the loose ends he creates waaaaay too quickly continuing the forced nature of the climaxes as were in the first two books. Overall this is good harmless light reading, but unless you really liked the characters from the first two books I wouldn't really recommend it. I breezed through this volume rather briskly, but ultimately wasn't really looking forward to reading the next installation that I had already purchased.
