Witchblade Combo contains two of the three Witchblade paperback novels that were written between 2001 and 2002. The two stores that were included are "Witchblade Talons" by John DeChancie and "Witchblade A Terrible Beauty" by John Miller. I stumbled upon this book about a year and a half ago in a Borders Books and Music and being a fan of the comic book I purchased it thinking that it was a stand alone novel. Little did I know, the book would be a gateway into the world of Witchblade containing not one but two tales about Sara Pezzini and the mythical artifact known as the Witchblade. The books were written in conjunction with the television series that aired in 2001, and thus the setting and the story lines do not include our present day knowledge of the Witchblade for those of you who read the comic books. In both of these stories the Witchblade is still an unknown entity which speaks to Sara on occassions and for the most part acts on its on free will. Witchblade Combos includes a short biography about the two different authors in the back of the book, but does not add an additional content from the original two paperback novels. The first story is "Talons" which was the first book published and in my opinion the worst story out of the three Witchblade books. Talons does include Ian Nottingham, Kenneth Irons, Jake, and Joe Siryn --- theses characters appearnces alone makes it worthwhile for any Witchblade fans. Talons is the only novel which includes the other Witchblade side-characters in a signifigent role.
