This review is from: Amsterdam (Eyewitness Travel Guides) (Paperback) I am giving this book 5 stars because I think it does an excellent job covering the city of Amsterdam. The illustrations are fantastic, the tips are helpful, all of the major points of interest are covered (and then some) and it is up-to-date. I'm a big fan of the Eyewitness travel guides, and this book certainly won't come as a disappointment to those who are familiar with their books. However, be warned that this book isn't much more than a subset of "Eyewitness Holland". If you already own their book on Holland, you don't need this because everything that's included in this book is in the Holland book. The pages may be mixed up a bit, but don't be fooled - I went through both books side-by-side and it's pretty much identical. Unless you plan on staying exclusively in Amsterdam (why?), I would suggest going with the 'Holland' book for a few bucks more. But whatever you do, don't buy both as I did!
