Review
A modern reaction to first hearing about dowsing might be: What is dowsing, anyway? Dowsing usually brings to mind some farmer walking across a field, looking for a place to dig a well. But dowsing is a lot more than this. Dowsing is the ability of someone to perceive, locate, or find, a person, place, or thing beyond the range of the five senses. Dowsing is an ancient practice or art used in and before Biblical times. People of modern western cultures may have a notion of what a water dowser or water witcher is from stories told by relatives, teachers, and others. Some are lucky to have seen dowsing used first-hand. As discussions throughout this book elucidate, dowsing is practiced in many ways in addition to the commonly envisioned use of a forked stick, or divining rod. Author Barbara Dowdy-Trabke has done a masterful job in explaining the use of the several tools used in dowsing. With step-by-step instructions on each instrument, including the body as a dowsing tool, she explains the importance of asking the right questions and getting permission from the system to do the dowsing. I feel that this book could become the standard textbook for basic dowsing schools, and I am proud to recommend it. --Harold McCoy, Founder & Director, Ozark Research Institute
Barbara has covered a lot of territory in this book from the basic concepts of dowsing to using dowsing devices to improve your health with muscle testing. She leads the reader on an informative journey that can change our lives. --Raymon Grace, Dowser, Lecturer & Author
